Hi! I'm a graduate student by day and a researcher by night. Presently I'm enrolled in the Rutgers Master of Library and Information Science Program and I work in NBC archives as a researcher. I have always been a visual person and am very passionate about photography (see my website for my previous work), traveling, research and blogging (I was inspired via a children’s material class @ Rutgers, check it out: http://oliviatheprecociouspigblog.tumblr.com/). I’m also interested various other academic disciplines – media theory, gender studies, cultural studies and visual sociology — which I hope will compliment my future career endeavors as either an academic librarian or a visual librarian in perhaps a museum setting. I haven’t ruled out other disciplines of librarianship though. Right now I’m just enjoying learning about different disciplines, theories and meeting other librarians.
